Happy Hari Raya Haji!!
It's 2:11am and I am still awake. Surfing aimlessly on the internet, hoping to find some interesting site to rest my attention on but nope, no luck with that. So I decided to come here and leave a track.
Mel! ZY! After that super cheesy pizza we had, I've had that nauseous feeling the whole afternoon!
Long weekend ahead, any plans you guys have? Mine..? Just going to rest and relax at home. Gonna do some homework for my cousin's prom. I've been designated the job of make-up artist. Haha! Let's hope she doesn't arrive at her prom looking like a clown! =p

Frivolous expenses of an MNC
I love working in MNCs. Especially european MNCs.
Starting work in a lifestock feed production MNC already gives me enough laughs.
Our product clientel are big fat and furry, we get free eggs from our satisfied customers and the trade magazines we subscribe to advertise milk extraction devices with optimal udder suction comfort.
Yesterday takes the real cake for What-The-Hell-Are-We-Spending-This-Money-On. Right about 10am, a well groomed gentleman walked pass my cubicle with a look of confidence on his face. I didn't recognise the face, so i assumed it was an out-stationed employee back to report or some client here on a visit.
He turned just at the corner of my cubicle, which struck me as weird since there isn't anyone else sitting beyond my territory. Then he disappered from my sight.
At first i was like, did i just witness a corporate espionage in action? Then his head bobbed back into view and I discovered his most amazing job.
He was now holding a wet cloth, which smelled strange, and he was carefully cleaning the leaves on this handsome looking plant standing beside my office pod.
*Wow* that really is first class horticulture. Now I'm yearning to get a massage.

sick and tired
ok... i shall do an entry... since i'm the one on MC and supposedly free...
recently been falling ill quite often and it's usually the same thing: cough, sorethroat, fever and what-have-you-related-to-flu-symptoms.
becos i have already maxed out my med claims, i was initially really reluctant to see a doc and report to work on Mon like a zombie. But my mum actually came up with a FABULOUS idea: to visit the polyclinic instead since it's so much cheaper! and YES! it's is A WHOLE LOT CHEAPER.
when I was at the polyclinic waiting for my turn, a thought came to me: This polyclinic is SUPER un-utilised for all it's worth (by me)! the best part.. it's just opposite my house!! was really wondering why i never really make use of it. Well... what can be better and NEAR and CHEAP? hmmm.. really wonder...
although been really resting for 2 days.. i dun really feel much better.. maybe it's psychological? any explanations for it yileng?
well anyways... i'm really looking forward to thurs' lunch! so whoever has lots of time on their hands (*ahem ahem*)... do join us for lunch k! =)
PS: i hate mi cough syrup.. it gives me the shakes... literally...

Added a Playlist at the side. We can sign in and upload whatever songs we want, I'm assuming that's how it works.
BUT
I can't seem to find the Sign In link when I click Sign In. Click and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Re: Little brown bags
Erm.. what's a 'schlong'?? Or is this something i shouldn't be asking? Hahah!!
'Sweet young thing'...?! U sound like a perverted old man!!
Hoping you finally mustered enough courage to open up that little brown bag. What did you get? Were you disappointed?

Little brown bags
Apparently food is the 2nd most common thought on my mind.
*Of course having a "schlong" automatically programs my predominant thought*
Today's post lunch entry focuses on a little known Minds cafe in Funan shopping centre. My 1st choice eating hole. Its really quiet since the entire concept revolves around their gaming facilities, and a weekday lunch really isn't the time to be smacking each other's hands and screaming "Googly oggly poggly"
I was seated near the fire escape *one can never be too safe*. Luckily most schools are out, meaning that I get waited upon by a partcularly young sweet thing who's probably earning some vacation cash.
My lunch consisted of coffee and premade-rebaked spinach lasagne. It was interesting to note that the lasagne had absolutely no texture watsoever. Apart from the colors and vaguly differentiated taste, i could hardly tell if i was chewing on vegetable or sauce. Oh well, i guess it'll be well received by the very young or the toothless.
The only exciting bit about lunch came when i decide to takeaway a banana chocolate muffin. It was carefully warmed for 45 seconds (i counted), placed in a, not plastic but little brown paper bag and folded down neatly.
Now I'm a really big fan of these little brown paper bags because its so quaint. You almost never know for certain what's contained inside, though you can be sure it will be a welcome treat. Like a little surprise box for a gloomy friday afternoon.
I must say that I am almost afraid to open the bag only to find some sub-standard dough like muffin waiting for me. *sigh*

The long & lonely lunch
Well today is thursday and I'm supposed to meet M&C for lunch.
"Supposed" being the operative word here, reality proved to be different.
Upon sending out my invitation to lunch mail, M replied apologising that he has a lunch training today.
So i started to think, ""Mmm... What kind of courses does DB conduct during lunch training?
My obviously unbalanced mind came up with the following..
1. Learning the how-to-suck-up meal etiquettes.
Learn how to suck up to your clients via tricks like offering him/her the first serving of food, odering in french, how to choose the most expensive looking dish.
2. 101 lunch-time conversational tricks for the aspiring financial consultants.
Engage in seemingly innocent conversation that can easily be pulled into a corporate sales pitch. Like how's your kids these days, do they need an education fund? How's your relationship with your ugly wife, wanna setup a private offshore account?
3. Paying the bill, make it obvious and elaborate!
Make the most out of your bill paying skills, like using a black card to show your obvious talent in making sales. Getting the waitress to read out the bill amount to impress your client, or sign for the bill with a big fat montblanc pen to show off.
Sure beats excel 2007 refresher course anyday yeah?
