2010's here!

Hey y'all! Have a fantastic countdown and see you on Saturday!!

Happy 2010!!!

Happy New Year!!!

happy new year ya'll!!!

signing off from office~~!

Wednesday, December 30, 2009

Ow ow ow!!!

Whoa... kitty C is really rubbing salt into wounds here.

For those who are poor drones like me, who were in office the past two days and happily enjoying the fact that today is wednesday and 1 day closer to another long weekend, I feel your pain.

Anyway, i will NOT be able to watch Avatar tonight, since the movie theatre was already 75% full by the time i checked yesterday afternoon. And since i don't want to pay extra to watch alone on a weekend, it will have to wait till next week.

Side note.. I wonder if Kitty C's Christmas socks will be filled with cotton buds.. hahahahahahaha...
Then again I'm just being evil on a wed afternoon.

*sian*

30 Dec 2009! It's so sian coming back to work after such a looooooong weekend. For those who don't know, my office was closed for Monday and Tuesday too! 28th because the UK office was closed so my boss said we'll follow their calendar and 29th because it was a day off given to all employees for recognition of our hard work... 6 days off work!! Imagine how sianified I was coming back to work today!!

Plus I don't know why but I haven't been sleeping well the past few nights.. Not that I kept waking up in the middle of the night but I kept dreaming! Weird weird dreams..

Enjoy Avatar tonight, Mr Teh!

And seriously... The only 2 people with a valid and attainable wishlist is Zhiyu and I!! What's up with the others? Haii.. Disappointing..

Christmas is boorring....

Heya all ye biatches... where're we having dinner this sat?

Anyway a Merry-4th-day-of-Christmas to ya..  (four calling birds, three french hens....)
Its been a borrriinggg X'mas this year.
My festive weekend was spent fixing up my cousin's comp, watching a totally un-christmas-y Sherlock Holmes with friends (which is really good by the way) and having dinner with some relatives.

*sigh*

Does anyone wanna watch Avatar 3D? I'm gonna watch it alone on wed if no one is interested.

i realised my wish has been edited too!!!

....

ps: celine.. it wasn't me.. haha

ZHIYU's Xmas Wishlist "cont"

Mmm...
Me too me too!

Here's my Santa wish list.

1. A Haruki Murakami book (anything except The wind up bird chronicle or Norwegian Wood)

2. A collection of Salsa dance music or "Learn to dance Salsa" DVDs

3. Apricot/mixed nuts dipped in yogurt candy! (It has to be yogurt!)

4. An IWC Portuguese Tourbillon (If you get me this, I will be your slave for a year)

CELINE's Xmas Wishlist *edited*

Before I begin.. Yes, I've exceeded my quota of caroling for the year. 3 sessions killed me. As enjoyable as it was, I think if it would have been a little more awesome if it were just the all-stars singing.

And for those who are having a headache trying to decide what to get for your Secret Santas... How about starting a wishlist here so it'll alleviate some of that tension headaches you've been having?

So to whoever picked my name... here are some stuff i would like!

1. A cookie hamper filled with diabetic cookies.. preferably chocolate cookies/wafers.. :)
2. a mp3 player speaker..
3. Ooh! as stupid as this sounds.. but an extra battery for my camera!! my camera's a Canon Ixus 980.. Go find out the battery model yourself..
4. the simplest.. CASH! hahaha!!
4. A shawl thingy from Cold Wear. It comes in many different colours and can be worn in many different ways. I want a bright coloured one!
5. Any cute guy from the boy band ENERGY
6. A hello kitty plush doll the same size as kat tj
7. A cotton bud.... (seriously.. i love cotton buds)

*Jingle balls Jingle balls, Jingle for a lay*

Oops, forgot to post on Saturday. Sigh there's a hole in our posting train now...

Everyone (meaning me, kitty and bitchy-queen) probably toppled from exhaustion on Sunday, what with 3 sessions of caroling at two locations in the short span of 2.5 hrs, and a sub-standard yoshi-bowl-rice dinner. *sigh*
Not sure about the rest, but i've just about finished my quota for caroling this year.

And since it is a bitch club, i would like to put into black and white that Ger***'s conducting is as gay as a handbag full on rainbows. (i love the expression)
He conducts the expression and not the beat, since he probably has no sense of rhythm. And that stupid expression on his face (i think its his version of a smile) is just retarded.

*Gawddd*..... Almost clawed my eyes out after yesterday night.

On a side note, apparently "rhythm" is the longest English word with no vowels in it. (to date that is)

Date maybe?

Eh... is there any way to include the date in when we post??

Thursday is crawling to an end

Check it out, another week is finally coming to an end.
Spend half my day covering my ass.
Time well spent if you ask me.

TGIF tomorrow, and christmas is coming.. Where are the fat geese?
And for once in my life, I would like to eat a christmas pudding with silver coins or timbles in it. (not interested in an anchor)

Maybe we should add margaret to this blog, we might get a post every day of our daily bread.

Help, i think its frozen!

I can't believe its still 4:39. Isn't it just a crappy feeling when you have nothing to do... yet frantically pretending to look busy?

I think time has just frozen on me. Checking the clock and synchronizing my pc with the atomic clock in UK every 10 seconds is doing nothing for my nerves.

On a side note, i did find out that one second is officially defined as the duration of 9,192,631,770 cycles of radiation corresponding to the transition between two energy levels of the caesium-133 atom.

Comparatively the Celsius scale now makes a whole lot more sense yar?

I think if civilization should be frozen at an instant by some big scary alien creep, i would like to be immortalized in the ultimate act of pleasure. (read:copulation)
I mean opposable thumbs and all, i think sex for pleasure measures higher in the milestones of evolution. Anyway its probably the oldest form of pleasure in the history of mankind. (or womankind for those who matter)

Then again, i'm just rambling.. Please god, let 30 mins have passed since the beginning of this post.

Its Wed afternoon... (let's see how long we can keep this up)

Its Wednesday, and I took a half day off this morning to attend my course briefing.
Amazingly, the proportion of Singaporeans taking this IT course has an even split of girls and boys. (or in some instances uncles and aunties)

So there I was sitting in what seems to be sub zero temperatures and having a slight hangover from last night's beer and this weird uncle starts talking about what if he is unable to gain admission should he fail his medical test.

I really wonder if he has AIDs, since that is one of only two critical illness that will immediately prevent admission into NUS. Shall make a mental note to stay away.

Oh and to answer kitty's doubts, I was hardly different on Sunday, in fact this is how i usually behave, an idiot.(plus an insufferable cynic) Maybe you guys don't spend enough time with me. *sigh*

Need a recharge soon over Christmas, everyone seems to be going overseas.
Christmas party anyone? Can I volunteer Her Majesty's humble abode as party venue? Haha...

Tuesday Afternoon

It's Tuesday afternoon, approximately a full 24hours after Paper Fish has posted.

Tiger isn't even following this blog, has he even accepted the invitation to blog? I don't think so...

Haha!! Just so you know, my sister was trying hard to control her laughter at the driver's seat too. Honestly, the only reason I can think of now to why we were laughing so much is cos you were so not yourself!! That was hilarious.

And OMG!! What did you see, Mel? Of course we wanna know. This blog is full of crap anyways.... =p

ZZzzzz..zz..z

OMG its monday afternoon and I'm practically half asleep, no to mention the post lunch snooze-y feelings that are so hard to shake off.

Someone commented on face book that she feels like a zombie in the movie zombie land.. I can understand that decaying feeling. As of now, my brain functions are slowly shutting down, starting with the most idle programs such as making conversation, interpreting numbers and socializing.
Soon I'll probably cease to type while my eyelids slowly droop like wet cement, and zzz..

Before that happens, I would like to express thanks to Tiger for inviting us to the concert last night. It was spectacular, though the incessant pounding of piano keys did little to compliment the second half of the concert.

For those who missed the second part of the entertainment, Kitty and friend decided to go all nuts and giggly while waiting for our ride, till I exited the car. It was rather amusing I admit. So thx for the after coffee entertainment.

Cheerios, and here's wishing you a great week ahead!

Re: Oh come on now, i'm sure you have something to say...

In response to Zhiyu...

Yeah pple.. Say something... Seems like it's basically just him and me ranting in this blog...

Funny taxi man

Yesterday night I took a taxi home after some drinks at a Salsa club.
The guy used to work in California as a forex trader, got burnt and is now driving a merc taxi and trying to undercut the taxi company by offering his services free of booking charge.

Best thing is, he's well spoken and awesome funny.

Here's some jokes he shared.

Why is a tomato red?
Because its blushing.
Why did it blush?
Because it saw the salad dressing.

Said one testicle to the other, "I don't understand why we should hang when the guy in the middle is the real culprit."

Said one one breast to the other,"If we hang here any longer, we must be nuts."

If farmer A sells apples, farmer B sells pears, what does farmer C sell?

Medicine....

So a little boy saw his parents having sex, and he decided to ask mummy what they were doing.
Mummy got embarrassed and lied that she was just helping daddy to slim down by bouncing up and down on his tummy.
So the little boy said,"But mummy, its no use coz in the day, when you're out at work, the maid blows daddy's tummy up again."

Oh come on now, i'm sure you have something to say...

The blog has been up for a while now and only 3 ppl are bothering to update it. Everyone else please remember to input your two cents worth once in a while.

eg.
1. Going out on a date? tell us how it went.

2. Cooking a meal? show us how it turned out.

3. Shitting in the toilet? share the new jokes you saw on the cubicle wall.

So go on, type away people!

Sore throat.. =(

Help!! I'm developing a sore throat.. So uncomfortable. =(

Good evening

Heya all!

Dance was fine, pretty gal is a slight disappointment. She seems to have no sense of rhythm, which makes dancing with her very stressful for me. Can't seem to ignore the music and just follow the action.
Other than that, she's still awesome gorgeous, and has great fashion sense.. *yum*

Oh well.. i suppose we can't all be perfect.

I'm guessing the rest are just about too busy (read: Lazy) to join in the fun here. Anyway this week has been slightly hectic, end of mth and end of year so lots of sales figures and budgets to fake..

On a different note, we had a tree lighting ceremony today, and all the staff had to stand around our ang mo boss and watch him turn on the christmas tree light switch. *rolls eyes*
Apparently they also received taka gift vouchers, which is probably why they were so excited about the whole tree lighting event. (me no have) *sob*
Then our boss tried to educate us on the origins of christmas.

Seriously i wonder how many people realise that modern day christmas celebrations have very little to do with the birth of Christ.
Apart from the date of celebration, going to church and singing hymns that is.

Fun christmas facts

1. The christmas tree is a christian adoptation of a pagan tradition, where they worship an evergreen tree during the winter solistice. (actually it was more a tradition of bringing life into the home during the deary days of winter.)

2. Santa Claus is a corruption of the Dutch name "Sinterklaas", which means simply Saint Nicholas, a Bishop of Myra (located in modern day Turkey) in the fourth century. Among other saintly attributes, he was noted for the care of children, generosity, and the giving of gifts.

3. The date 25th Dec also coincides with two other historical festivals, winter solistice which is an astronomical phenomena, and Dies Natalis Solis Invicti which means "the birthday of the unconquered Sun" a roman pagan holiday.

Morning!

How’s everyone doing??

Seriously… only the 4 of us on this blog is confirmed for the Chicago Musical. The other two didn’t reply my sms at all. Irritating. I should give them a deadline or something!

ZY! How was dance on Sunday? Did you see your tall cutie?? =p

2:11am

Happy Hari Raya Haji!!

It's 2:11am and I am still awake. Surfing aimlessly on the internet, hoping to find some interesting site to rest my attention on but nope, no luck with that. So I decided to come here and leave a track.

Mel! ZY! After that super cheesy pizza we had, I've had that nauseous feeling the whole afternoon!

Long weekend ahead, any plans you guys have? Mine..? Just going to rest and relax at home. Gonna do some homework for my cousin's prom. I've been designated the job of make-up artist. Haha! Let's hope she doesn't arrive at her prom looking like a clown! =p

Frivolous expenses of an MNC

I love working in MNCs. Especially european MNCs.

Starting work in a lifestock feed production MNC already gives me enough laughs.
Our product clientel are big fat and furry, we get free eggs from our satisfied customers and the trade magazines we subscribe to advertise milk extraction devices with optimal udder suction comfort.

Yesterday takes the real cake for What-The-Hell-Are-We-Spending-This-Money-On. Right about 10am, a well groomed gentleman walked pass my cubicle with a look of confidence on his face. I didn't recognise the face, so i assumed it was an out-stationed employee back to report or some client here on a visit.

He turned just at the corner of my cubicle, which struck me as weird since there isn't anyone else sitting beyond my territory. Then he disappered from my sight.
At first i was like, did i just witness a corporate espionage in action? Then his head bobbed back into view and I discovered his most amazing job.

He was now holding a wet cloth, which smelled strange, and he was carefully cleaning the leaves on this handsome looking plant standing beside my office pod.

*Wow* that really is first class horticulture. Now I'm yearning to get a massage.

sick and tired

ok... i shall do an entry... since i'm the one on MC and supposedly free...

recently been falling ill quite often and it's usually the same thing: cough, sorethroat, fever and what-have-you-related-to-flu-symptoms.

becos i have already maxed out my med claims, i was initially really reluctant to see a doc and report to work on Mon like a zombie. But my mum actually came up with a FABULOUS idea: to visit the polyclinic instead since it's so much cheaper! and YES! it's is A WHOLE LOT CHEAPER.

when I was at the polyclinic waiting for my turn, a thought came to me: This polyclinic is SUPER un-utilised for all it's worth (by me)! the best part.. it's just opposite my house!! was really wondering why i never really make use of it. Well... what can be better and NEAR and CHEAP? hmmm.. really wonder...

although been really resting for 2 days.. i dun really feel much better.. maybe it's psychological? any explanations for it yileng?

well anyways... i'm really looking forward to thurs' lunch! so whoever has lots of time on their hands (*ahem ahem*)... do join us for lunch k! =)

PS: i hate mi cough syrup.. it gives me the shakes... literally...

Re: Little brown bags

Erm.. what's a 'schlong'?? Or is this something i shouldn't be asking? Hahah!!

'Sweet young thing'...?! U sound like a perverted old man!!

Hoping you finally mustered enough courage to open up that little brown bag. What did you get? Were you disappointed?

Little brown bags

Apparently food is the 2nd most common thought on my mind.
*Of course having a "schlong" automatically programs my predominant thought*

Today's post lunch entry focuses on a little known Minds cafe in Funan shopping centre. My 1st choice eating hole. Its really quiet since the entire concept revolves around their gaming facilities, and a weekday lunch really isn't the time to be smacking each other's hands and screaming "Googly oggly poggly"

I was seated near the fire escape *one can never be too safe*. Luckily most schools are out, meaning that I get waited upon by a partcularly young sweet thing who's probably earning some vacation cash.

My lunch consisted of coffee and premade-rebaked spinach lasagne. It was interesting to note that the lasagne had absolutely no texture watsoever. Apart from the colors and vaguly differentiated taste, i could hardly tell if i was chewing on vegetable or sauce. Oh well, i guess it'll be well received by the very young or the toothless.

The only exciting bit about lunch came when i decide to takeaway a banana chocolate muffin. It was carefully warmed for 45 seconds (i counted), placed in a, not plastic but little brown paper bag and folded down neatly.

Now I'm a really big fan of these little brown paper bags because its so quaint. You almost never know for certain what's contained inside, though you can be sure it will be a welcome treat. Like a little surprise box for a gloomy friday afternoon.

I must say that I am almost afraid to open the bag only to find some sub-standard dough like muffin waiting for me. *sigh*

The long & lonely lunch

Well today is thursday and I'm supposed to meet M&C for lunch.
"Supposed" being the operative word here, reality proved to be different.
Upon sending out my invitation to lunch mail, M replied apologising that he has a lunch training today.

So i started to think, ""Mmm... What kind of courses does DB conduct during lunch training?

My obviously unbalanced mind came up with the following..

1. Learning the how-to-suck-up meal etiquettes.
Learn how to suck up to your clients via tricks like offering him/her the first serving of food, odering in french, how to choose the most expensive looking dish.

2. 101 lunch-time conversational tricks for the aspiring financial consultants.
Engage in seemingly innocent conversation that can easily be pulled into a corporate sales pitch. Like how's your kids these days, do they need an education fund? How's your relationship with your ugly wife, wanna setup a private offshore account?

3. Paying the bill, make it obvious and elaborate!
Make the most out of your bill paying skills, like using a black card to show your obvious talent in making sales. Getting the waitress to read out the bill amount to impress your client, or sign for the bill with a big fat montblanc pen to show off.

Sure beats excel 2007 refresher course anyday yeah?
Testing my email posting account..

Sorry for the spamming... *NOT*

I did setup this blog.. *muahahahahaha*

Could we ask mr loong to design an exclusive baitches logo... or emblem... or word art??
